Terms & Conditions

Minwood Lane. Terms & Conditions

Introduction

Enrolling your child at Minwood Drama School, means you accept these terms and conditions ("Terms & Conditions") and sign your agreement to them as an ongoing agreement between you and Minwood Lane ("Agreement").

The Agreement is made between the parent/guardian ("Parent", "you" or "your") of each enrolled student ("Student") by a Parent and `Minwood Drama School at Minwood Lane (“Minwood Drama School”, “Minwood Lane”, "we", "our", "us") (Kamilla Woodburn t/a Minwood Lane.) and is valid at all times whilst the Student is enrolled on any Minwood Lane activity and until such time as written notice is given in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.

These Terms & Conditions apply to all our Minwood Drama schools, Courses, Workshops, Holiday Workshops/Sessions and any additional products and/or services offered by Minwood Lane in the future for any Student and/or client. A "Course" refers to a course of classes offering tuition in acting for stage, screen, print and radio which will be delivered during the Term. Course classes take place once per week for an hour, as detailed at the time of registration and booking. "Holiday Workshop/Sessions" refers to Workshops or sessions run by Minwood Lane during the academic breaks between Terms - these include Unique Individuals working as a sub-contractor at Holiday schemes. "Drama Teacher" refers to the person running the Minwood Drama school session. "Artistic Director" refers to the owner of Minwood Lane. "Term" refers to one academic term of Minwood Drama schools during which Courses are run - these often coincide with the academic term of local government schools. "Term Dates" refers to the dates for the relevant Term. "Workshop" refers to a one-off course offering tuition in acting for stage and screen and/or other performing arts related activities. These are delivered for a particular number of hours per day for a period of between one (1) and five (5) consecutive days, they can run at any time throughout the year in a number of establishments.

Enrolment

Each Student's place is allocated on a 'first come, first served' basis. Applications must be accompanied by the appropriate payment/transfer of £10.00 ("Deposit"). The Deposit will hold the students allocated place and cover the cost of the students scripts and other admin.

For Holiday Workshops, deposits may vary, information regarding this will be distributed at the appointed time.

If Minwood Drama is unable to accept the Student due to capacity reasons, the Student may, at the Parent/Guardian discretion, be placed on a reserve list or given the opportunity to attend on a different day at a different venue. If the student is placed on the reserve list the Parent/Guardian and Minwood Drama Teacher will decide whether (i) the Deposit will be retained by Minwood Lane whilst the Student is on the reserve list, or (ii) the Deposit will be refunded to the Parent/Guardian and that the Parent/Guardian may be required to repay the Deposit at a later date if a place is confirmed. If the Parent/Guardian prefers that the Student is not placed on a reserve list the Deposit will be refunded within 14 days of the confirmation discussion.

From the date the Deposit is paid, you have a 14 calendar day cancellation period ("Cancellation Period") to change your mind and cancel the Student's place. After the Cancellation Period expires, the Deposit is non-refundable and will be retained by Minwood Lane. Please note that if start date of a Minwood Drama term falls within the Cancellation Period and the student has attended the session before the Parent/Guardian notifies us of their desire to cancel, then unfortunately the Deposit is not refundable.

Times, Term Dates, Fees and all relevant course details will be confirmed in the Acceptance Letter, "Fee Note", "What's New" (on the website) or the relevant "Venue Newsletter", along with a receipt for payment of the Deposit. All such terms and conditions detailed in the Fee Note, the Acceptance Letter and/or the relevant Venue Newsletter shall be incorporated into the Agreement and shall be deemed to have been accepted by the Parent/Guardian upon payment by, or on behalf of, the Parent.
